You think you might have pink eye? Pink eye or conjunctivitis is a common inflammation or infection of the eye, which can be caused by a virus, bacterial infection, or sometimes chemical irritation. It's important to make sure that it is pink eye and not some more serious problem with the eye before we dispense treatment. It can be important therefore to talk to a doctor, like First Stop Health, in order to decide, do I need to go to see the ophthalmologist, to go to the emergency department, or can I just treat this with eye drops prescribed by the doctor over the phone?
